I just read a person on twitter talking about their spidersona they drew over there, but after they talked about that, they made a comment that hurt.

It really hit me then that, had he passed away only a few months later, he would have died in what must have been the greatest time in his life (aside from the time with his wife).
This was a man who loved all of his fans simply because they love his work. He loved them cause they shared a passion for his work with him. It’s why he’s in so many of the marvel movies as a cameo. He loved the comics he worked. He loved talking with people about it. He would have been ecstatic to see all of the spidersonas people are making. He would have no doubt felt immense joy at seeing into the spiderverse do as well as it is and probably would have worked with several people to make their own characters
But he never will.
He will never see or hear or just feel the love that people have for spiderman. I mean, he probably knew just how much people already loved spiderman, it’s one of his most iconic characters. But he won’t ever be able too see just how much love for spiderman there is now.
He will never see how much people love and adore spiderman now.
